Sharing the magic from 2-4pm on the 1st Saturday of every month, Ujima’s newest DJ has travelled the world for work and pleasure, Malcolm has curated for some of the world’s most prestigious events, clubs and festivals for over 4 decades from Glastonbury to St Paul’s Carnival to Dismaland to name just a few and these all are reflected in Malcolm’s eclectic, beautiful and bountiful knowledge of music. Malcolm is now the landlord at Bristol’s iconic Star & Garter in Montpelier, Bristol.

DJ Propa Soul is a Hungarian DJ based in Bristol, UK. Growing up in the 90’s the primary school parties and the HiFi record players helped inspire him to become a DJ.
From a young age he got into playing with music and in the 2000’s he learnt to DJ which led to opportunities to play in a few clubs in his hometown Budapest, Hungary. As time passed by he went traveling the world for a couple of years. In 2008 he relocated to Bristol, UK to carry on expressing his love trough music and to better himself in the industry.
His musical influences started around 1995 thanks to his older brother, both his sisters and later his friends. His main music genres are House, Soulful House, Tech House, Soul, Funk, Disco and Hip-Hop. His DJ-ing regularly in the south area of the UK at various venues in Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Cardiff and more.
Venues played in Bristol includes the City Hall, Trinity Centre, Thekla etc. In London at the Ministry of Sound Club, The Living Room. Also played at Defected London 04/11/2017 – Ministry of Sound Defected Croatia 2019 – Terrace Stage His a lover of music and collecting records is something that he truly loves along with the turntables! ‘soulful’ at all times
